Privacy

Lodgewise Media operates Lodgewise at lodgewise.ca. This page explains what we collect, why, and who it goes to. It is written to be read rather than to be legally exhaustive — if anything here is unclear, email privacy@lodgewise.ca and we will explain it.

What we collect

When you send an availability request: your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, travel dates, party size, budget indication and message. We also record the page you submitted from, the page you first landed on, the referring site, any campaign parameters in the URL, your browser's user agent, and the country your request came from.

When you click through to an operator: we log the click — which listing, when, from which page, and the referring URL — so we can show that operator how much traffic we sent them. We do not use this to build a profile of you across sites.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Session storage is used to remember which page you arrived on, so we can attribute an enquiry correctly. That data never leaves your browser until you submit a form.

Who we share it with

When you submit an availability request we share your name, contact details, dates, party size and message with the operator you selected. If that operator declines or does not respond, we may offer your enquiry to up to two similar operators, one at a time. We do not sell your details to advertisers, data brokers or mailing lists.

Contact details are released to an operator only when that operator takes the lead. Until then they see the shape of the trip — dates, party size, region, budget band — and nothing that identifies you.

Processors we use

• Cloudflare — hosting, and the database that stores enquiry records.
• Resend — sending transactional email (your confirmation, and the offer to the operator).
• Stripe — processing operator payments. Stripe never receives your personal data; it is the operator who pays, not you.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are retained for 24 months, after which they are deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Click logs are retained for the same period.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@lodgewise.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you ask us to delete an enquiry that has already been delivered to an operator, we will delete our copy — but we cannot delete theirs, and you would need to contact them directly.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this page in a way that affects how we handle enquiries, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is material, note it here.
